BARRISTER/ARBITRATOR

MUSCAT, OMAN   •   SALARY: £90,000-110,000 GBP plus expat package

A distinguished Barrister / Arbitrator is sought after for a Senior level role within our clients award winning Oman office. Having attracted a number of talented individuals of late (including those with particular expertise in PPP work), my clients are looking to further enhance their presence in the Middle East region with the appoint of a senior Barrister / Arbitrator.

MLR are currently partnering with one of the Middle East’s most well respected law firms in order to assist them with the expansion of their top tier Litigation practice. As such, we are actively inviting interest from UK Bar admitted Barristers looking to relocate and practice in the Middle East.

This role is open to those individuals with a minimum of 5 years experience gained either in the UK or another common law jurisdiction. Your career to date should include (but not be limited to) experience in either the employment, real estate or construction sector. You will have a demonstrable and enviable track record of handling both arbitration and litigation in addition to a general commercial awareness of alternative dispute resolutions.

SENIOR LEGAL ADVISOR

RIYADH, KSA  •  SALARY: £140,000-170,000 GBP

A highly skilled Banking & Finance lawyer is required for a unique opportunity to join one of the regions largest and most acclaimed financial groups.

Due to a restructure of the wider team, an opening has presented itself for an experienced finance lawyer to join the firm at a senior level and become an integral member of the legal team.

The client in question is widely recognised for their expertise in a broad range of Banking & Finance matters including both Conventional and Islamic finance, investment funds, derivatives and hedge funds, litigation and enforcement, transportation finance and trade and export financing. Their clients include top tier financial institutions, local and international banks, corporate borrowers and various syndicates of lenders.

The role is only open to those lawyers at the senior level with more than 8+ years experience to date. Prior experience working and practicing in Saudi Arabia is also essential however this does not need to be your most recent appointment. Fluency in Arabic is a perquisite for applying to this role.

CORPORATE COMMERCIAL LAWYER

MUSCAT, OMAN   •   SALARY: £80,000-95,000 GBP

– A strong academic background preferably gained from either the UK / US / Australia

Banking & Finance Lawyer required. Our client are an award winning law firm in the heart of Oman’s bustling finance and business district and after a period of consolidation, are now looking to enhance their Banking & Finance department with the hire of a junior Banking & Finance lawyer. With that in mind, we are now inviting interest from experienced Banking and Finance lawyers at the beginning of their career looking to practice law in the Middle East.

The law firm in question are widely recognised as having a very strong hold on the local Omani market whilst maintaining an equal mix of both local and international clients. Their Banking and Finance team in particular is sought out as one of the premium leaders in the sector in both conventional and Islamic finance transactions. Having restructured their teams of late to make room for new clientele, a unique opportunity has arisen for a junior banking & finance lawyer to join the department.

In order to be considered further for this opportunity we ask that you have between 1 – 3 years PQE and be keen on developing your career in the finance sector long term. It is a requirement that at least 2 of your training contracts seats would have been finance related and you hold a valid license to practice law.
